About the Project

Oak Bay United Church proposes to build affordable housing next to the church for seniors, families and young professionals with limited incomes, at no cost to the taxpayer. A 3-storey townhome will front Mitchell Street with a 3½ storey building on Granite Street, similar in height to the building opposite. These new buildings will be lower density than those approved over 50 years ago, and are in keeping with the church and neighbouring properties.

Following a year of community and stakeholder engagement, our development application was submitted to the District of Oak Bay in mid-August. Learn more about our consultation process here.  View our application here.
